12 Healthy Instant Breakfast Recipes


 Here I have shared some easy to make instant & healthy breakfast recipes.  Most of them are steamed foods and some are dosa (Adai).  As breakfast plays a major role in our health, we have to put a lot more importance on it.  So I have given these healthy - nutritious breakfast recipes take hardly 15 minutes to prepare.  Lets check the list ... 

Broken Wheat Puttu 

Broken Wheat or Dalia is a very healthy ingredient which is worth enough to be included in breakfasts.  Puttu is a steamed food which could be accompanied with any curry or simply eaten with Coconut & Jaggery.  Soak dalia for 5 to 7 minutes and steam cook for another 5 minutes;  That's all about our dalia puttu.  For detailed recipe do visit www.healthywealthyrecipes.com.

Chemba Rice Kozhukattai 

Chemba Rice or Matta Rice or Kerala Matta Rice is the Rice variety which is consumed widely in Kerala, South India.  This rice looks in red color and which is rich in vitamins, minerals & fiber.  It helps easy digestion and also helps in managing blood sugar.  Washed chemba rice has been grounded coarsely to make our chemba rice rava.  We make upma out of this rava then make kozhukattai (roll) out of this upma.  Finally steam it for 5 minutes to enjoy our healthy yummy Chemba Rice Kozhukattai

Broken Wheat Pongal 

Dry roasted broken wheat, moong dal and water in 2:1:2 ratio will be pressure cooked for 5 minutes and topped with pepper, jeera, ginger & cashew seasoned in ghee.  Tada! Vermicelli Khichdi 


Khichdi or veg upma is a healthier version of our usual plain upma.  Saute onion, tomato together with vegetables will take hardly 10 minutes.  Then add boiling water, salt and vermicelli and cook for another 5 minutes... Urad Dal Kanji 

Urad dal is one of the most healthiest dal which is rich in iron and other nutrients.  Regular intake of urad dal will cure more of our health issues.  This urad dal Kanji or Kheer is an easy to make recipe which could be taken as a breakfast as it fulfill the morning energy needs.

Wheat Flour Coconut Roti 

Wheat flour and grated coconut kneaded together to make chapati dough will take only 10 minutes to prepare and a 5 minutes of resting time.  Make your chapatis and toast it with ghee will give a tasty simple breakfast which your child likes more than you. 

Dalia Dosa 

Broken wheat dosa or dalia dosa is a more healthy version of our usual rava/ sooji dosa.  We can prepare the batter in just 10 minutes and make dosas in a similar way as we do for usual sooji dosa.  Tada! Our crispy, delicious, healthy instant Dalia dosa is ready to eat.  

Chemba Puttu 

If we have our ready Chemba Puttu Podi in hand, we make this puttu on the go.  Puttu is usually an easy to make recipe we prefer this when we are very tired of doing more work in kitchen.  You just have to soak Chemba Puttu Podi in equal quantity of water for 20 minutes then steam it for 7 to 10 minutes.  Serve this Puttu with kadala curry or simply with jaggery & grated coconut. 

Broken Wheat Khichdi 

Broken Wheat Khichdi or vegetable upma is a healthy variation of plain Dalia Upma also tastes delicious.  Since Dalia/ Broken Wheat is a quick cooking ingredient it takes only 15 minutes to prepare this Khichdi.

Mixed Dal Dosa 

Mixed Dal Dosa or Adai Dosa is a very nutritious whole some breakfast as we mix more dals & legumes.  We add onion, garlic, curry leaves to enhance the flavor and taste.  Soaking all dals in hot water for 10 minutes and then me make the batter.  It could be prepared in 20 minutes and may simply serve with butter and jaggery.

Pepper Pongal 

Raw rice, Moong Dal & water taken in 2:1:3 ratio will be cooked in pressure cooker for 4 whistles and topped with pepper, jeera, ginger & cashew seasoned in ghee.  That's all about this Pepper Pongal/ Ghee pongal.  For more detailed recipes visit our website www.healthywealthyrecipes.com.

Broken Wheat Kozhukattai  

Soaked Dalia/ Broken wheat will be cooked with seasonings for 5 minutes.  Make kozhukattai out of this Dalia mixture and steam it for 5 minutes.  Vow!  Our yummy delicious Broken Wheat Kozhukattai is ready to enjoy!
